WAIT ON GOD!

Has there been times and/or situations in your life that seemed like it was pitch dark and you couldn't see your way through? Were there times when everything was going wrong and oh, so horrible? Times strickened with poverty, grief, depression, brokeness, and/or death?

I am sure we have all experienced or are experiencing these times. However, we have to remind ourselves of who we are and whose we are. We have to remember WHO loves us. When we are going through these tough times, tribulations, tests and trials, we need to remember where our help comes from...I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1 & 2

With GOD's help, we learn how to wait on HIM. We learn how to be patient. We learn how to rest. How to rest in the Lord. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him.Psalm 37:7

While we are waiting on HIM, we must also learn how to unload our burdens and give them over to HIM. We don't have to carry them. HE is there to help us if we let him. All we have to do is give all our cares, worries and issues to HIM and leave them there. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30

GOD has not forgotten you. HE is there. HE just wants you to wait. Wait. Wait. Wait on HIM. The dark situation that you may be facing will soon be brightened because GOD is faithful. GOD is merciful. GOD is true. Whatever tears you have shed, GOD sees them. HE has heard your every cry, moan and prayer. HE has not forgotten you. HE has not forsaken you. HE is right there. JOY is on the way! JOY is here! Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalm 30:5
You don't have to cry anymore. You don't have to weep anymore. JOY is soon to come! They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Psalm 126:5

While you wait on HIM, worship HIM. Praise HIM. SEEK HIM. Keep your mind stayed on HIM. This is the place where he will mold and shape you. This is the place where HE will speak to you. This is where you will be strengthened. My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. 2Corinthians 12:4

Trust HIM and Wait.
Wait, I say, on the LORD.

Praise GOD!

I've been watching and waiting for your next post as you told me in an email last week.

My ears always pop up when I see the word WAIT. I know that it is something that God repeatedly asks of us and I always welcome reading someone else's perspective on waiting. It seems that waiting is the story of my life. It is SO hard but I know it is worth it. I know that I would NEVER wait on anything if it were for my faith in Christ and knowint that the waiting is worthwhile. If I were not a believer, I think I would just go after everything and not wait patiently and silently.

My days are dark at times and clouds roll in and out but overall HE is sustaining me for however long this trial and darkness must last.
Luvs,
Paula

I am so sorry that it took me so long to post. I have been going through a little storm on my job. However, I am being still in the Lord. Thanks so much, paula, for supporting and reading my post. I am in a waiting mode right and learning about patience. I agree, without my faith in Christ, I probably would have given up and did my own thing by now. However, I know I can't and must fight the good fight of faith. Thanks for sharing.

Luvs to you too,
LaTonya

Hi Latonya (( Hugz)) Waiting and patience have never been one of my strongest points, but what I have learned through my journey is that it's really not about the waiting, but I what I do while I'm waiting. I remember worrying and allowing fear to carry me through my times of waiting, especially when the waiting had to do with uncertainty. Now.. Prayer, trust, hope, and most of all the Lord are my companions during my times of waiting. I love this post.. Blessings Lorie

Praise God! Thank you for that awesome Word from the Lord! I once heard a preacher preach that to WAIT means to W-watch A-arm yourself with the Word of God. I-wait for Instruction and T-trust in Him.

Waiting is hard because we always want immediate answers. It is in the waiting God is gorwing and molding us. Thanks for the reminder that the waiting season is a time to rest and Know God- surrendering all in His very capable hands.

LaTonya,
Thanks for visiting my blog. Your post reminds me of times when the message I got from God was "Wait". That is so hard to do but it pays off. "His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts." We know He loves us and will ALWAYS answer at just the right time.

Did you see the new picture I put on the sidebar of my girls and I? If not and get a chance, check it out. Would love to know who you think is who. The girls are in the slideshow below with more recent pictures.
Have a Blessed day,
AliceE.

Hi,

I thank you for your warm words to encourage me. I like this post of yours and it's really reminding me that God is always there for me and I need to acknowledge that and wait for the Lord. Meanwhile to hear from him speaking to my heart and I am ready to listen to Him.

For a long time God kept telling me to wait. It was so hard at times and many nights I cried until I thought I couldn't cry anymore. I went through so many different emotions and when I finally said, "Ok Lord, if it's not meant for me to see Katherine, please give me a peace about it." The peace came, along with a few more tears, but I knew in my heart that one day I would see that precious little girl. God was faithful!!!
LaTonya,
I'm so sorry you don't have a relationship with your earthly father. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. There are so many homes in the world that do not have the daddy in the picture. We were talking about this at Church on Sunday and were trying an outreach to kids without dads in the home. There are more single parents than ever before. How sad for alot of theses children. It's so hard sometimes and I use to wonder what was wrong with me, that my own father didn't want me. No child should ever feel that way.
God bless you!!!
Tommie
